Employee Spotlight – Dan Brush Maintenance Manager
Dan Brush joined Luxco®’s Cleveland plant in February 1990 as a bottle dumper, and over the years he worked hard, always watching and learning. He has been the Cleveland plant’s Maintenance Manager for about 10 years now. His main responsibilities are to make sure there are bottles going down the production line in a safe and efficient manner while keeping the plant operational.
“Doing what I do, the days are like snowflakes; no two days are alike,” he says. “Some days the machines give you fits, other days building mechanicals are an issue, and some days the hardest part is just getting out of bed!” Dan says the best part of his day and his job are the people he works with at the plant. He enjoys getting to know his co-workers, hearing their story and getting to know who they are as a person.
Born and raised in Cleveland, he is proud of his city. “Cleveland is so diverse, and we have world-class museums and a great food and music scene. The only downside are the long cold winters,” he says.
When not at work, Dan enjoys baseball games and exploring the local wineries as well as spending time with his wife Jennifer and his two children, Alexis and Keith. He is also anxiously awaiting the birth of his first grandchild.
