Clarence Henderson Remembrance
Editor’s note: We believe it’s important to celebrate the lives of people like Clarence. This remembrance is from Norman Miller, director at Niche Drinks.
All at Niche Drinks were saddened to learn of the sudden passing of our colleague, Clarence Henderson, on June 5, 2024 following a short illness.
Clarence joined Leckpatrick Dairies in 1977 shortly after leaving school and worked in our liquid milk and powder business in Artigarvan, Co Tyrone until 1990. After a few years away, Clarence rejoined the business in May 1994 when he came to work for Saint Brendan’s Irish Cream Liqueur Co. After a short stint working on the production line, he moved into the stores role and worked as part of Louise Doherty’s supply chain team for the rest of his career. He was always his happiest when trundling up and down the yard on the forklift servicing the line or loading lorries, all the time whistling a tune to himself. Clarence was a steadying presence in the yard and despite the odd grumble, he always got the job done to the best of his ability.
Clarence had been off work for the past few months and we had hoped to be able to mark his thirtieth anniversary once he had sufficiently recovered from a recent stay in hospital. News of his passing came as a shock to all who knew him and we keep his family circle in our thoughts at this time.
