Letter from the CEO – David Bratcher has Something to Say
You have undoubtedly seen – and heard – a lot over the past few months about Luxco premium brands. At the mid-point of 2024, we’ve got great news to share, from the launch of new expressions to accolades from prestigious spirits awards competitions.
We’re especially pleased with the strength of our premium-plus brands, which continue to grow. In fact, premium-plus sales rose 12% year-over-year in the first quarter.
This positive momentum is built on a solid business strategy:
- We’ve focused innovation and sales/marketing on our premium and premium-plus offerings in American whiskey and tequila. This includes brands such as Yellowstone®, Penelope® Remus®, Rebel® and Ezra Brooks® bourbons and El Mayor® Tequila.
- Luxco sales and distribution operations are represented in every state, and we have an international sales team. Both are helping to get our newest brand, Penelope, into wider circulation since the acquisition in 2023.
- Starting this year, the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer oversees all sales operations. This post is held by Amel Pasagic, formerly our Chief Information Officer, who brings familiarity with data and keen analytical skills to propel growth through this new realm of sales management.
No matter the strategy, none of the growth in our business would be possible without committed teammates. Teammates like these five observing 25 years with Luxco in 2024: Tracy Murphy, Northeast Regional Sales Manager; William Claxton, Warehouseman, St. Louis; Michael Stephenson, Maintenance Tech, St. Louis; Rebecca Perry, Staff Accountant, St. Louis; and Aisling Murphy, NPD Manager, Niche Drinks.
Thanks to all of you – no matter your tenure, location or job function — for your hard work and dedication.
LET’S GO LUXCO!
