Updates from Kentucky Enhancing the Visitor Experience
Limestone Branch Distillery® in Lebanon, Kentucky, and Lux Row Distillers® in Bardstown, Kentucky, have been bustling with activity this year. To accommodate visitors and the growing demand for their award-winning products, both distilleries have made several enhancements.
Limestone Branch Distillery
In April, Limestone Branch opened the Stephen B. Beam Tasting Lodge, a new 1,250 square-foot tasting space dedicated to its expanded barrel program. The lodge is named after Limestone Branch Distillery’s founder and Master Distiller and pays homage to his love of Yellowstone National Park. The new building will accommodate customers selecting barrel picks of Yellowstone® Bourbon Hand Picked, Yellowstone® American Single Malt, Minor Case® Rye 6-Year and other Yellowstone® Bourbon barrel offerings.
“As we continue to expand our barrel program to include more unique and sought-after selections, we wanted to create a dedicated space for customers to fully experience these offerings,” said Barrel Program Manager Casey Shirley. “The addition of the private Tasting Lodge provides the ideal location for customers to get to know our award-winning brands a little better and sample and select the perfect barrel.”
Lux Row Distillers®
Lux Row recently launched a new consumer visitor experience led by the distillery’s single barrel team. The experience includes a detailed distillery tour followed by a warehouse excursion where guests taste products from two different single barrels. During this process, the Lux Row team drills into and pulls samples from a barrel so visitors can get an authentic experience.
The tour finishes with a tasting in the Lux Row Stone House. Guests taste through Luxco’s expansive single barrel options, including Rebel®, Ezra®, Lux Row®, Penelope® and Remus®. They also have a chance to taste and purchase barrels that are only sold on the exclusive tour.
